We are currently seeking to appoint a dynamic Associate Lecturer in Voice & Performance.  The post-holder will be responsible to the Subject Head of Theatre & Dance.

The BA (Hons) Acting and the brand-new BA (Hons) Theatre & Performance courses are designed to ensure that students develop sound practical skills and techniques in their discipline alongside a depth of contextual knowledge. Our aim is to create flexible, responsive, resilient, inquiring, skilful, innovative performers who can not only make a living in their chosen discipline but also help to redefine it.

The successful candidate will have knowledge and high level professional expertise in voice and performance training for the contemporary actor/performer (relevant postgraduate degree desirable), able to deliver practical skills training in the areas of voice technique for the actor/performer, speech and accents, and text work.  You may also offer additional training expertise in such areas as: voice over, film, singing technique, somatic approaches to physical awareness, vocal improvisation/devising through approaches such as Roy Hart.  You will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of lectures, seminars, workshops and tutorials.  Assessment will also be a key aspect of academic duties. You will have excellent communication skills and the commitment to design and deliver an outstanding learning experience for the students.  You will be joining a talented and ambitious team of specialists who prioritise the student experience within an exciting and developing subject area.
